What was the goal of the East End Charrette?

The goal was to develop a vision for Church Hill and the Nine Mile Road corridor and to guide the transformation of the social, educational and physical aspects of the community. We want to do so responsibly and over time. The input from residents, community leaders and architects resulted in a long-term vision for the neighborhoods.

When did the charrette take place?

The charrette was a series of meetings that lasted one week, June 2 - 7, 2010.

Who attended the charrette?

Approximately 1,000 people attended one or more meetings of the charrette, including residents and neighborhood youth, business and community leaders, city and local government representatives and people who work in the community.
